Rules

Start from the first post first.

Do this sober and by sober I mean no medication that affects your mood such as anti-depressants, that's right if you're depending on medication then stop using it, if you feel it is too but I mean too dangerous then check with a 'health care professional' and tell him or her you want to come of them if they don't want to assist you find somebody else who does care about your well being...why am I saying this, well if you didn't know anti-depressants actually make you worse, yes they feel nice however it is the same principle as narcotics. You can already create happy chemicals in your brain. When you take drugs that alter this natural process then eventually your brain will think 'well I'm getting the happy chemical externally therefore I don't need to produce it anymore' and that's when you need a higher dose... same goes for any other type of medication such as histamine (allergy remedies) etc. (Natural products don't alter the brain this way, however they may also cause a placebo effect and you may become dependant on it too, a healthy diet is the best form of health) So slowly come off them, better slow then not at all.

This method involves hypnosis.

First we need to clear some myths about hypnosis. What you've seen on TV or in shows where the hypnotist is in control of that person is fake; you are in most control when you are hypnotised if a hypnotist tells you to do something you will only do it if you choose to. Hypnosis is quite simply two things: deep relaxation, like meditation, and vivid imagination. Whenever you are dozed off daydreaming you are giving yourself hypnotic suggestions.

Good, now YOU NEED TO BE BRAVE

By brave i don't mean put up with your feelings no no no, you must confront your fear if your anxiety is in regards to nothing in particular then you fear fear so.... have a panic attack induce it ASK for it desire it and go through it; you think you'll have a heart attack, well you won't and the fear of death is far worse than a fear of not living a full life. If your fear is in regards to an object or specie you don't have to go to it and touch it you can just use hypnotic method (described later on). If your fear is in regards to death, losing control or an entity that you can't even see then first remember, the fear of death is worse than death itself, don't fear the inevitable at least be thankful that you are alive TODAY there are millions of people who aren't and didn't even make it to your age.

Now open notepad, if you found anything that made you feel good up until now of what I've written then copy and paste this is very important for later on.

Nugget of wisdom.

Life is full of ironies.

Now if you found the above exercise too difficult think 'for what it's worth'.

With NLP people have gotten rid of phobias is under 20 minutes so don't give up. Here we go.

Whatever your fear is, brainstorm thoughts that have made you feel good in regards to that fear as in giving you confidence or ideas that show even if it is a little bit that your fears are untrue so try this: imagine you are another person who doesn't have your problem and you are helping someone who does have your exact problem...try and convince them that there thought is faulty it is untrue and tell them why, also this other person doesn't argue back. Come up with at least 6 ideas. Write it down in notepad under 'brainstorm'.

Now what would you be doing or happening to you that would mean that your worst fears have come true. Write it down

Now this is going to be the process, don't do it yet:
  1. You're going to face your worst fear in visualisation so imagine that you have already lived it whatever it is and now you are fine if it is something that you don't know whether it can happen to you, you fear it might happen to you and you have no control over it then ask for it demand for it, want it to happen to you, you will have a realisation that it was in fact an irrational thought (since nothing happened) all along; by the way it is ok if you feel extremely anxious while doing this.
  2. You're going to relax, if this is a problem for you then try this, imagine that just as an experiment you're going to try it out.
  3. From a list that you're going to write and memorize you're going to imagine, visualize and live those thoughts.
  4. You will visualize more ideas to boost your confidence immensely.

The list

The part you wrote down under 'brainstorm'

Think of all the compliments you've gotten in your life, pick the best 6-10.

Think of 3 times in the past when you were happy really happy.

You're only skeptic because you've never tried it

Next post we will mix everything and put it to practise to change your life!

Rid Anxiety

Start from the first post first.

Ok, this is no easy topic to talk about since I'm not with you and cannot talk about your specific reason for anxiety, see there are as many reasons for anxiety as there are people so we can probably break it down to several categories

1st there's the anxiety that is normal to have such as before a fight, arguments or trying out something dangerous this anxiety is OK to have because if you didn't feel anxious/fear you wouldn't feel pain and you'd do yourself all kinds of damage.

2nd, is the anxiety that you get because you lead a stressful life, so you don' get much chance to rest, and even when your sleeping you might be a snorer and not get enough oxygen so you feel tired the next day and most likely have bad dreams because you've had a 'rough' day.

3rd is the one that can be called FEAR as well, this anxiety is the one that is constantly there, sometimes you forget the original reason why the anxiety started but you feel like you're going to feel this way forever, you have loss of concentration because you are CONSTANTLY focusing on your worry or worries, this is the type of anxiety that can go on for months to years and life is no longer a life, you may look in the mirror and not fully recongise the person in front of you (depersonalisation) you may feel drowziness, sweat (especially when you're alone with just you and your brain), panic attacks, a feeling of foreboding.

There are good news for ayone in the 2nd or 3rd category because that's what this blog will assist you in ridding and take you back to the normal 1st category (how you were before the disorder)

You get good at what you practice.

After all the self-help books and therapy sessions the best form of ridding anxiety and ultimately running your own brain is neuro linguistic programming or NLP.

Do a search of NLP and there is a little bit of free information about it, however here I'll tell you enough to set you free.

In NLP there is the premise that the nervous system (so our feelings) can't tell the difference between a real event and a vividly imagined situation. So if you tell yourself to not feel sad it won't work, 1st because you used the word 'sad' in the statement and your brain does not respond to negatives, it's like me saying don't think of a pink elephant...(did it work?)
and 2nd because your are not using that part of your brain responsible for being the way you are (whether your happy, sad, scared, feeling lonely, feeling horny etc.) and wait for it here it comes... THE IMAGINATION, that's right when you say that somebody made you feel bad, happy, scared or turned on it wasn't them it was you!

Syllogism: noun An inference in which one proposition (the conclusion) follows necessarily from two other propositions, known as the premises.

  • My mind controls my feelings
  • I control my mind
  • Therefore I control my feelings

But how do you control your feelings when you feel like YOU ARE OUT OF CONTROL.

Is it easy? well yes and no, it's easy if you do it right and no it's not easy if you don't have a neuro linguistic programming therapist next to you, however it is far from impossible.

Nugget of wisdom:

People who try to be happy are the ones that are the least happy because they worry over smaller things then those who aren't trying.

In the next post I will describe how to use NLP so that you can make your fear/phobia dissapear.

What's this Blog about...

The main reason I initially decided in making this blog was to help people with Anxiety disorders, however it will not be limited to just that, not now that I know so much wisdom that I've learnt thanks to suffering from anxiety; and no, I don't have an Anxiety disorder anymore. I did consider writing a Blog while I was suffering because anxiety is really something that I don't wish upon anyone and if I can help people who are suffering and going through what I went through then why not do it, not only does it bring me self-gratification but I'm giving people what I always wished I had.
I decided 'blog' because all the information I'm giving is COMPLETELY FREE I mean you deserve to be happy if anyone charges you to help you, then it is because they don't know what you're going through... cause if they knew they would be doing what I'm doing, they would understand.

I've been anxiety-free (as a disorder) for almost two years and I'm confident enough to talk about anxiety and my specific problem; it no longer controls me, actually it never did.

This Blog is not just about anxiety I will be giving advice on many different topics relating to running your own brain, such as self-esteem, self image, self confidence, the amazing power of your brain, and programming yourself for success - in anything you desire. Sound too good to be true well...

  1. Don't rush looking for an answer
  • impatience is a symptom of ANXIETY

2. You have nothing to lose reading all the info here.

I spent a lot of money on therapists that were useless and told me basically in a nutshell "tense and relax muscles from toe to head to relive anxiety" (there you saved yourself about $100) and a counselor taught CBT which is useful but when it's little problems that you want to work out not a phobia, disorder, depression.

Online programs that promised to relieve anxiety and cost a ridiculous $200 which at the time I was desperate and thought who cares how much it is I'll pay anything to relieve my pain but now I see it as an abuse of the desperate, taking advantage of people in need of help.

That's why everything I've learnt in my journey has ridden me of an anxiety that lasted over 5 and a half years, of complete hell, will be free-of-charge.

And guess what, I'm at the stage where I'm glad I had it (no I wouldn't want to go through it again at all) but thanks to it I am who I am and I know so many things that people never learn in a lifetime and are so basic, logical and liberating if everybody knew these they would be many times happier and successful. Life is only a moment, live it.

Here is a nugget of wisdom:

"Don't fear fear, there is nothing behind it"
